Open Space Current Initiatives

The Open Space Committee is actively involved in the following projects:

Sweetwilliams Farm(North Street)

The committee is actively pursuing preservation of this 92 acre historic farm 

Miscoe Hill

The committee is evaluating acquistion of a 40 acre parcel on Miscoe Hill Road.  While the property is a very attractive open space acquisition, legal access to the property is uncertain.

Open Space and Recreation Plan

An update of the town's 2002 draft Open Space Plan is being prepared and expected to be complete by early summer of 2010

Scenic Roads Bylaw

The committee is working to develop a scenic roads bylaw for presentation to town meeting.  More information to follow about scenic roads bylaws and an example from the town of Hopkinton.
