Activities and Programs

The Upton Center provides an array of different activities and programs to elders in the community. The Upton Center is always receptive to feedback regarding our current activities and programs and welcomes new ideas in which we can better serve and attract elders in our town. Meal Program

The Upton Center serves as a congregate meal site Monday through Friday offering nutritious lunches through Tri-Valley Elder Services. The cost per lunch is $2.00. Tri-Valley also runs its Meals On Wheels program out of The Center. This program provides meals to individuals 60 years and older residing in the towns of Upton and Hopedale. Transportation

The Center is diligently working towards acquiring a handicap accessible van that will allow The Center to have greater flexibility, availability, and accessibility for elders in the Town of Upton to go to Doctor's appointments, shopping trips, the movies, and theatre and museum outings. Currently, The Center must restrict when and where medical appointments can be. Please call The Upton Center for information on scheduling and fees.

The new mini-bus will be officially up and running on July 1st.

We will offer transportation to doctor’s appointments on the following schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday..........Milford and surrounding towns...........9:00 – 12:00

Thursday..........................................Worcester.............................................9:00 – 12:00

Tuesday...........................................No transportation

The bus will also make bi-monthly shopping trips (every other Wednesday) to local grocery stores.

scheduled between 9:30am and noon. Our bus driver currently works part time but we will do our best to get you to your appointments. Please give the Center 48 hours notice when booking rides. The cost for transportation is $2.00 each way ($4.00 roundtrip); you must purchase bus tickets at the Center as the van driver will not accept cash. Each person will be given a printed handout on all of the rules and regulations when purchasing tickets.Please stay tuned to more trips planned.
